We rented tents, tables and chairs from Flatland Equipment for a community BBQ we were having with work and they were wonderful! From the first correspondence to the last they were courteous and answered all inquiries I had within 24 hours of receiving an email. There was a mix-up with one of the tents not being delivered which they rectified immediately and were back on-site within an hour with the other tent. Also, their crew were onsite early, courteous and incredibly helpful. All interactions with the crew were positive. I would and have been recommending Flatland Equipment for any event!
The Quality Of The Gear And Responsiveness Makes The Difference
We really appreciate the responsiveness and the quality of the gear. That's really what it comes down to, the fact that we can get what we need and get it when we need it. It seems like on every show there's something that comes up where it's like, oh my God, we need this now. Call Flatland. And then we call Flatland and then, they either drops it off or we come and get it. I recommend Flatland to all my production friends and associates, I always do! I just know that whenever issues come up, it hasn't been an issue and we've been able to get what we need.

Flatland Equipment was utilised for the 2023 World Police and Fire Games. As Overlay Manager I was dealing directly with their manager and field representatives. The ability to overcome a difficult task was done with ease with the group I had the pleasure of working with from Flatland. From the smallest 10 x 10 tent to the large complex setup at the Forks, all was done with a smile and a good attitude from the crew at Flatland. I would recommend this company for any future endeavors they may want to take on as they are a git'er done bunch of individuals and care about the event that they work on. If you require a company that will go the extra mile Flatland is the root to go. In closing I had a very good working relationship with the crew from Flatland and I have to say they were very professional with their work and how well the end users were treated. There were a number of last minute changes but these were handled quickly and efficiently. Thank You
They Kinda Saved the Show!
I was on a show a few years ago; we were not even using a Flatland Production Kit, because the producer of that show had his own kit. We were in a situation where it was on a weekend and we were shooting at Birds Hill Park outdoors. The heaters that we had were not going to be sufficient. The producer was like, “What should I do?” I can go buy some heaters, but I don't think I'm going to be able to get them in time. So, I said, well, “Let me see what I can do.” And I just texted Phil from flatlandequipment.ca and I said, this is the situation, and the must for the day. And he said, “Absolutely”. And literally, you know, within two hours, I drove back to the city met Susan at the shop and picked out a few heaters and some propane tanks. It kind of saved the show! We brought the heaters back out to Birds Hill Park and we were able to have heat in our tent, the cast tent and our monitor tent. It was an emergency situation where we weren't even using a Flatland Kit, but of course the Flatland Team is always more than willing to assistance, and help out a production in need. They Kinda Saved the Show!
The Best Referrals Are From...
To me, the best referrals are from the other professionals in my field. I kept hearing that Flatland and their crew are professional. If there’s an issue with anything they are quick to act on it and get it solved. Their equipment is really good. I kept hearing that from everybody. I’m happy I took the suggestion and rented from them; working with Flatland gets easier with each production. They make my job easier and I can think of other important tasks.
Don't waste your time calling anyone else
How Flatland Solved our Rental Frustrations with a Guarantee. Prior to using flatland, we found that the other local gear providers just didn’t have the same variety and selection. The Other Guys often provided us with broken gear that didn’t have the Flatland Guarantee. Sometimes the gear was unavailable and they couldn't meet the rental needs of the production. It’s very frustrating to be limited in selection and not have someone available like Flatland even after 6pm! Don't waste your time calling anyone else, Flatland has the systems, manpower and drive to make sure your production is well equipped.

Making the life of an assistant location manager easier Being an ALM is demanding and sometimes there’s more than one show I’m working on. This one time I was working on 2 shows at the same time and one of them needed a location equipment Kit. I was already using the Flat Land Location Kit and knew this other production was in a pinch. I called Flatland and asked if the Kit I was using could be put to work for this new 3 week production, they said yes, making my life and the work of the other production easier. Phil, Susan and the Flatland team are professional, accommodating & helpful.
Flatland Showed Up With What We Were Looking For
When it comes to getting production equipment, trucks, vans and other production necessities, quality is without question of top importance. Nobody wants to be in a situation where quality was an issue or where’s there’s limited stock; without the possibility of replacement. I’ve encountered this on past productions and it’s been really challenging. Then Flatland Equipment showed up, with exactly what we were looking for.

We needed event tents unexpectedly and reached out to a few other options with no success.... they were able to accommodate our needs the very next day.
We needed event tents unexpectedly and reached out to a few other options with no success. Once I found them they were able to accommodate our needs the very next day. We required the tents for several days and they accommodated everything, even left one of the employees contact info with us in the event we had any issues. There were some high winds and they were excellent coming to monitor the tents and address any issues caused by the wind. Great customer service!
